eMeals - Healthy Meal Plans App Reviews

This app used to get 5 stars however for the last two weeks I have to login in every time I open the app and it wont save any of my grocery lists. Today I cant even see the recipes or ingredients.

Is there a way you could add the calories and the nutritional information? This may be asking too much but with all the health tracking out there it sure would be nice.

I love love love this app but ever since I signed on for a 1-year plan a few days ago the app crashes when I open it or when I try to download the new menu. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and contacted app support with no luck. Anxiously awaiting a fix so I can get back to it!

LOVE this app. Great variety of meals and they taste good! Would be 5 stars if it provided the nutritional info or at least the basic info needed to log into My Fitness Pal or WW. Very time consuming to log each recipe.

I have been using the eMeals service for the past two years. The first year i had it, this app was not available so i would have to print out each week and highlight the food i need. I still thought it was awesome because the planning aspect was minimized significantly. NOW, IT’S ALL ON MY PHONE! I’m obviously ecstatic about it. The grocery list is so easy with the foods separated out by departments and when you check off the items, they move out of the list so it’s continuously consolidated. They just launched the new COOK MODE, which is awesome as well. After prepping, the cooking steps are made to be easy to ready and you can toggle between the main and side dish without losing your place in either. If you want to learn how to cook, get eMeals and enjoy this awesome app they have created.

New menus are not automatically updating in the app. The only way to refresh and get the new weeks menu is to uninstall the app and reinstall. The "check for new menus" button in My Account does not work either. This seems to have coincided with the timing of when I changed plans on the website. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall to update with the new plan and every week I have to do the same thing to get the new menu.

I was a loyal customer for 2 years. Used the app often. Once it repeated the meals several times a month I decided to cancel. Upon doing so they took away the app functionality so now all the plans I paid for cannot be used unless I continue to pay.

Im having the same problem another reviewer mentioned: my menu doesnt update anymore, and the search for new menus option does not work. I loved this app before, but if I cant get the new menus each week, its useless. Please fix!

Well, at least there is FINALLY one, and only one, menu that tells you the truth about how many people a recipe will feed. But now the app has gone downhill. I have to delete it and reload it if I want to get new menus. I hung in as long as could but Im done. I am still a firm believer in eMeals. I have been using them for over 6 years. And the improvements they keep making to the app are excellent. HOWEVER... My main complaint has ALWAYS been that it is difficult to know if a recipe will feed your family or not and how much you will have to adjust it. The difference between 3 people and 6 is huge. I have often made a meal only to have to offer PB&Js after as the meal fell a bit short. Stating whether a recipe is for 4 or 6 or whatever would be an enormous help. How great would it be to know it feeds 10 so you can put it on a night you have company? Really how hard is it to add this so you can know if you have to double it or not? The best meal planner just went over the top!! Sign up for eMeals. Do this for yourself and your family. The stress it will relieve is your life is priceless. My only other thought is it may take a couple tries to find the perfect menu for your family. Dont give up! And dont be afraid to try new things you will be surprised at the delights you will make. The instructions make it super easy to whip up a meal.

Please fix the bugs! I love the plan, and the app was working fine up until the most recent IOS update. Now I have to uninstall/reinstall just to refresh my menus. Its annoying to say the least.

I love emeals service! So many great plans. Just went on a low carb lifestyle change and love the ability to choose a low carb plan. I love the app and the addition of the cook mode. Love the shopping list and favorite recipes. My only complaint is the syncing between devises does not work. When I create a menu on my iPad, it doesnt sync to my phone for shopping. I have to recreate the menu on phone. Major bummer!

E meals is great but the app is horrible. I used to be able to remove a meal and it would then remove that from the shopping list. Now if I dont want to make one of the meals I have to go through and manually delete every item from the shopping list. Also sometimes the new menu does not want to load up. Fix these issues and Ill make it a 5 star review.

This app is a good concept but it is terribly executed. It doesnt load new menus unless I log out and log back in, but it wont let you log out. You have to delete the app and reinstall it to get logged out. Please fix this! I love emeals, hate the app!

I love the emeals service! Ive used it for years now. When I first found out about the app I was ecstatic. But the excitement was very short lived. This app is worthless to me and here is why: 1. New Menus dont update - in order to get new menus each week you have to uninstall and reinstall the app. The "get new menus" option in the my account doesnt work (note: NONE of the options in My Account work!) 2. Shopping List duplicates items - if multiple meals call for onion the shopping list duplicates the entry with say "1/2 sweet onion" once for each meal. And it doesnt sort by ingredient so you dont realize it until you scroll down. The shopping list should "roll up" and show the total needed for that week (this is the case for printed menus) 3. Multi-Device Sync - the app doesnt sync across devices (there isnt an iPad version at all!!) My husband and I share an iTunes account and both have the app. If I make the shopping list on my phone, it would be great if it synced to his phone as well or vice versa. Please fix these things! Until then, this app is a joke and complete waste of space. Dont waste your time.

I really love emeals!! I would like to be able to access my recipe box when I dont have an active subscription.

In a nutshell, Emeals is a fabulous service but the app is worthless. It has to be uninstalled and reinstalled in order to update menus. Please try and fix this, you guys!!

Since switching to the new operating system, the app does not update the new meal plans each week unless i delete the app and download it again. Very frustrating!
